Support Worker - Douglas House


Douglas House is a residential service based in Plymouth, Devon and currently has a vacancy for a full time support worker, supporting adults with learning disabilities.

Job Role:

• To support individuals; and enabling them to realise their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

• To work as part of a team, promoting the aims and values of the company

• To follow management instructions, to essentially provide a high quality of service

• This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week, made up of various shift patterns including days, evenings, some sleep overs and weekends as per rota. You will need to be flexible.

Qualifications / skills/ qualities required:

• Previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

• NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health & Social Care or working towards one would be advantageous

• Basic IT, numeracy & literacy skills
