Residential care and education for young people

Regard offers professional residential care to young people aged between 9-18 years with Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and other specific needs, such as sexualised and self harming behaviours and associated Emotional and Behavioural issues.

As a leading provider of quality care, we are committed to driving positive results through working closely with families, individuals and commissioning teams. In everything we do, the child is our first priority as we develop a programme designed to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our aim is to offer a consistent and individualised service, based upon quality care within a homely and nurturing environment. We focus on good education and health for every child, regardless of age or circumstance.

We offer access to local schools wherever possible and work closely with local links in the community, as well as providing education within our own schools registered with the Department of Education.

Regard offers young people access to child-centred speech and language therapies, as well as a range of art-based therapies including music, art and play therapy to aid communication, confidence and development.

In terms of child to adult placements, we support individuals in developing a full range of essential life skills, such as travelling independently on public transport, using the telephone, budgeting and shopping, to assist them with the transition. Strong links with our adult services ensure the care provided through the transition period is consistent.
