Hillingdon House is a residential service for people with learning disabilities in Farnborough, Hampshire. The service has 9 bedrooms, a large living room, conservatory area and a quiet room where people can relax. Hillingdon House also boasts a large garden where everyone gets involved in maintaining the gardening and keeping up with Hillingdon’s ‘Going Green’ recycling campaign.
The people who live at this service have communication and complex physical and health needs and the service specifically supports an environment which meets people’s needs safely.

Our Services Offered
- Person Centred Approach to every day life, decision making and choice
- Outcome based support, which is specifically designed around the person, their wants, wishes, goals and aspirations
- Individual planning and tailor made support packages which enable people to communicate in the way that meets their communication needs
- We offer staff that are trained in total communication methods and can support people to make decisions and choices through their chosen methods
- Positive risk taking – ensuring people can make decisions which keep them safe and happy
- We have specialist equipment that allows individuals to experience sensory stimulation that enhances their day to day living, as well as providing methods of meeting people individual sensory needs
- Our staff are also trained in supporting people with complex needs such as Alcardi Syndrome and Dementia
- The individuals that live at Hillingdon House also participate in our QA checker programme, involved in day to day decision making about their home and are involved in community projects such as attending local day opportunity services, colleges and meeting with friends and families
- We also offer the opportunity for people to be involved in our service user based awareness training which includes awareness on speaking up, saying no to abuse and how to make a complaint
- People are actively promoted to take part in the recruitment of staff, telling us what qualities they would like their staff to have, ask candidates questions about how they would support them and we actively encourage involvement from the circle of support in our service delivery

Hillingdon House is an attractive and spacious 1920's detached house located in a quiet residential area in Farnborough. The accommodation is spread across two floors and each of the 9 bedrooms has the benefit of being situated in such manner that it lends itself to optimum privacy.
