Ravenscroft House is situated in Burlsdon, Southampton providing 24 hour flexible and individually tailored support to seven people in a supported living environment. The team at Ravenscroft provides services to people with mild to moderate learning disabilities and associated health conditions such as mental health, including physical disabilities.
The staff support is structured to meet individual requirements. Community participation and involvement is actively encouraged through person centred planning to meet individual goals and aspirations which keep the person safe and happy. We work with individuals through a person centred approach and positive risk management ensuring that we support and enable people to have a life that makes sense to them.

- Person centred planning, review and awareness
- Confidence and encouragement to make decisions, rights and responsibilities and promotion of access to local advocacy
- Budgeting skills and weekly planning
- Daily living skills, including meal preparation, cooking and domestic skills
- Assistance with personal care and encouragement to becoming more independent with self care
- Choice and support to attend college/events/activities/voluntary/paid employment
- Awareness of health promotion, health related conditions and specialist support to access professionals
- Actively participate in community events through one to one sessions and planned events with other individuals
- Individuals are involved in the recruitment and selection of the staff that support them.
- Involvement in our quality checkers project
- Medication self assessment programme – from understanding why a person takes medication right through to training and assessment to self medication
- Road safety awareness and support programmes to enable greater independence in the community (with planned risk management)
- Support to participate in weekly health and safety, fire and first aid checks, as well as nightly security checks and keeping safe awareness
- Participation in training and awareness workshops in relation to keeping safe, saying no to abuse, speaking out and recruitment

Ravenscroft is a large detached house offering supported living in the Southampton area it has easy access to city centre and local amenities. It is on a bus route and accessible to Southampton airport .
It has seven large bedrooms, an open plan communal area including dining area and separate kitchen.
The home has a wrap around garden, with a large garden to the rear of the property which is actively used for social gatherings.
