Easter Cottage provides care and support for 3 children of either gender aged 8 - 17, with Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Behavioural Disorders or complex health needs. Easter Cottage has a philosophy of providing an all round supportive and progress enabling environment with consistency and structure.

 

Specialist Expertise

 

Easter Cottage offers young people access to speech and language therapies when attending Regard for Learning Education Centre.
The staff team is trained in managing complex health needs including Epilepsy and Enteral (PEG) feeding

 

Easter cottage is equipped with an Aqua Nova, Pisces rising bath for those with physical disabilities and is wheelchair accessible and physically disabled friendly throughout

Education

 

Education can be provided at the Regard for Learning Education Centre – our OFSTED registered school.  Experienced teaching staff provide personalised educational programmes.  Students engage in a wide range of activities including ICT, horse riding, art, music, drama and opportunities to participate in engineering within our functional workshop.  Those over 16 can attend local colleges and work experience.

 

Services Offered

 

We offer long, medium, and short term care from age 8 to 17 years.
We work closely with the individual, families and commissioning teams to achieve the best results for each young person. Education is an important element of young peoples development and this can be provided within our own Ofsted registered education site or we will support the young person to attend an identified educational facility in agreement with the child and circle of support.

About The Property

 

Easter Cottage is a 3 bed Property with under floor heating and good access for wheelchair users ,  Set in rural Lincolnshire Easter Cottage benefits from large expanses of countryside and walking paths, coupled with easily accessible shopping environments allowing the young people to access social situations positively and specifically based on their individual abilities and needs.

The garden provides a large grassed play area, a trampoline with a safety enclosure and a tree exploration  area.

Holbeach is a small village 2 miles from Easter Cottage that through established relationships enables social participation in an environment that understands the needs and difficulties our young people can face. Its variety of independent shops and large supermarkets provides the perfect platform for the introduction of independence skills and positive social contribution without the heightened stimulus, pressure and distractions of a busy city centre. Providing 2 medical centres, an opticians, police, ambulance and fire stations the facilities in Holbeach help to establish an accessible and solid platform to meet the initial and developing needs of all our young people. Library and recreational resources are also available including a gym, park, tennis courts, football pitches and a youth club.
