Newland St are two residential care homes located in the North Manchester Area. They provide support, for adults with mental health and learning disabilities.
Newland St is within walking distance of a good selection of shops and also Abraham Moss College were we encourage and support services users to enrol onto a course of their choice and use other facilities within such as the Library.
It is also in close proximity to North Manchester General Hospital and a GP surgery to help support and maintain health.
Newland St provides quality support with an underpinning value of person centred approaches, treating each person with respect and dignity.
Supported by trained, dedicated and motivated staff teams, through positive relationships, people are encouraged to develop skills and independence. 24 hour staff support is provided with a sleep in staff member in each service at night.

These services are focused on move on with promotion of independence skill building with a view to moving onto supported living.
Newland St provides consistent and responsive support to adults with mental health and learning disabilities. We work with individuals to support them to gain confidence and learn daily living skills.
Key outcomes for people are to develop community presence and participation, develop positive relationships with individuals, families, health professionals and commissioners and to support people.
Services Offered
- Full needs and risk assessments completed by trained and experienced staff in liaison with the individual and anyone else they wish to be involved such as family, friend, or advocate.
- Provision of an individuals’ designed person centred support package with key outcomes and to include assistance in activities to promote independence.
- Support to individuals with a range of activities including:
- Budget planning and support with finances (Regard can become appointee if required)
- Meal planning, preparation & shopping focusing on healthy diet
- Household tasks, including laundry and housework
- Planning social and leisure activities including college, voluntary work, etc.
- Establishing community links
- Promoting self advocacy or supporting access to advocacy services
- Health promotion and access to GP/dentist
- Medication support where required
- Develop and maintain family and personal relationships
- Continuity and consistency of support by experienced support workers chosen with the individuals involvement
Access to professionals as identified in individual support plans such as psychiatrists, occupational therapists, community psychiatric nurses, and primary care trust schemes.

Newland St are adjoining terraced properties, each having an enclosed patio area to the rear of the building. The homes can accommodate 2 service users each with all single occupancy bedrooms. They each have a kitchen/dining area with a utility, lounge and one communal bathroom.
