Regard’s aim is to provide the highest possible quality of support to the people who use our services. At Arden House we support individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Our enabling, self empowering approach is tailored to a person’s aspirations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Arden house is unique in the model of supported living it can provide. It is a younger person’s service ideal for young adults leaving care or young adults leaving residential college. We have very positive links with local residential and non residential colleges.
Our aim is to support individuals to gain the skills necessary for move onto independent living, if they so choose. We have recently supported one gentleman to move onto his own flat and two more tenants are working towards this within the near future. We have the scope to provide outreach support once tenants have moved, thus maintaining consistency and continuity.
We have recently introduced an independent living skills assessment tool which is in easy read format and outcome driven. Not only does it focus on skills for independence, it also covers topics such as health, relationships, employment socialization and many more. Feedback from tenants at Arden House is positive as it has enabled them to focus on building new skills in a structured, formatted and achievable way.
Staff support is flexible and structured around individuals’ needs on a daily basis.
All tenants are making fantastic progress and continue to achieve some very positive personal outcomes, in relation to independence and quality of life.
