Our home provides 24 hr care for both male and female tenants. All staff are fully trained and hold NVQ’s, with any specialist training undertaken if required.

Canterbury Road offers tenants the opportunity to become more independent with their lives.

 

Staff support tenants with all aspects of their daily living skills whilst promoting independence and supporting them to develop their social skills further.

 

Staff achieve this through Person Centred Plans and working to the service design which is based on the Government White Paper ‘Valuing People’; this ensures we focus on such issues as the tenants Rights, Inclusion, Choice and Independence.

 

Tenants have regular Keyworker meetings with the staff member that they have chosen for the role, with Staff supporting and encouraging any tenant who wishes to participate in College Courses, Work/Voluntary placement of their choice.

 

Regular tenants meetings are held where all tenants can discuss any issues, this ensures tenants are actively involved in the running of their home.
