Hedera house is an attractive and spacious Grade two-listed building located in the heart of Snodland. There are excellent bus links to the Medway towns and Maidstone and the train station is 10 minutes away, which has links to London Waterloo and Charing Cross stations as well as the Medway towns and Maidstone.
Hedera House is a supported living home for 9 adults between the ages of 18 - 65 who have a leaning disability, and the home specialises in duel diagnosis. At this time there are four females and five male service users. Hedera house does not provide nursing care.

This service also offers a 2 bedroom totally self contained annexe, that promotes independent living.
Our service design is based upon the Government White Paper ‘Valuing People’ ensuring that we focus on such things as service user’s rights, inclusion, choice and independence. The service we offer maintains autonomy, attainment, respect, privacy, dignity, equality and diversity.
Our aim is to provide a stimulating environment with an emphasis on independent living. To work with individuals to achieve full independence wherever possible.
Services Offered
Each Tenant has access to 24hr staffing support.
Emphasis is placed on supporting individuals to develop their social skill and on empowering them to take control over their own lives. This is achieved through individuals support Plans, which are developed by the individual service users with support from people such as their key worker, advocate, local specialist teams and/or care manager. These plans are regularly reviewed and amended, as the individual’s needs dictate. Formal reviews are held within a multidisciplinary context six weeks after admission and on a three to six monthly basis thereafter. All decisions and plans are recorded in consultation with those present at the reviews and are implemented accordingly.
Individuals have the opportunity to state who will be involved in process of individuals Planning and their Key Worker has specific responsibility for ensuring that agreed programmes are implemented effectively. For those individuals with mental health problems the individuals support Plan will be reviewed in line with the Care.
About the Property
The service is a 7 bedded detached building and 2 bedroom Annexe.
The Library is 3 minutes away from the home. The local shops are in the town centre and a leisure centre is 10 minutes by car. The home is spread across two floors in the main house, with three bedrooms and a bathroom, kitchen, lounge/dining room on the ground floor. There are a further four bedrooms and bathroom and separate shower room on the first floor with a laundry area and fully equipped kitchen. There is a table and chairs which overlook the beautiful garden. Hedera house also has a self-contained Annex, which comprises of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and two bedrooms, allowing the opportunity for specialised provision on a smaller scale. Outside there is a spacious garden with large trees and a substantial lawn area.
