Lynfords is a Registered Care Homes providing twenty-four hour support to 6 adults with profound learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The service is mixed gender, age range 18-65 on planned admission. Lynfords is managed by Dawn Robbins service manager and is structured to employ an assistant manager, two full time senior staff and a team oft support workers and waking night staff. The aims and objectives of the home cover covering the following areas: Service user and Person Centred Planning Arrangements made for respecting the Privacy and Dignity of Service Users. Community Links and Social Inclusion Arrangements made for contact between Service Users and their friends, relatives and representatives .Health Promotion and Health Action Plans staffing, Organisational Structure and Support Consultation with Service Users and their Circles of Support regarding the management of the home Complaints Procedures Fire Precautions and Associated Emergency procedures within the home Referrals and Admissions.

Lynfords is situated on a site that has two Registered Care Homes providing twenty-four hour support to 6 adults with profound learning disabilities and physical disabilities. The service is mixed gender, age range 18-65 through planned admission only. The home does not provide a facility for nursing care. Should a resident require nursing care, then this input would be accessed through local specialist services.
Services Offered
Lynfords focus on providing a comfortable warm and friendly atmosphere within the home to ensure that the people that live in Lynfords feel safe, secure and happy. The service users at Lynfords are supported by a dedicated staff team to lead full and interesting lives within the local community; these are centred on the individual’s needs, choices and aspirations. The local community centred is used on a weekly basis by service users in Lynfords for various activities including club night and sensory sessions. Outside professionals visit the service providing therapeutic support such as music sessions, light exercise sessions, aromatherapy. The service is also supported by opticians, chiropodist, district nurse and other health professional as required. The local community learning disability team support the service and attend reviews for each individual on an annual basis or as required. We focus on working as part of a multi disciplinary team in order to ensure excellent outcomes for the people that live here.
Families and friends are an integral part of the service users life here the service operates an open to ensure that service users, families and others are welcome to come and discuss any concerns or issues that they may have.
About the Property
Lynfords is an attractive bungalow situated on the outskirts of Hailsham, a town in the heart of the picturesque Sussex Downs. They are within easy reach of local shops, doctor’s, pharmacies and a leisure centre, including a Bowling Alley.
Service Users within the home facilitate the use of these local amenities on a daily basis, and also access the local tourist attractions at Brighton, Hastings, and Eastbourne, which are a short drive away.
Lynfords provides ground floor accommodation for six people. The home is purpose built and can accommodate wheelchair users and those who require other aids for mobility.
Lynfords have their own garden area to the rear of the property and a shared communal patio area to the front of the property.
