Oaklodge is a six bedded purpose built bungalow residential home for adults with physical and Learning Disabilities of any gender, and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It is located in Polegate, East Sussex and nestles at the base of the hills of the South Downs and is approximately 7 miles from the seaside town of Eastbourne.
Oaklodge is situated just 3.2 miles from Polegate Train Station and has a bus stop along the main road just outside the property so enjoys good travel links to both the coast and London.
Specialist Expertise
Oaklodge is purpose built for wheelchair access and to meet the needs of Service Users with physical disabilities as the home is situated on one ground floor.
Staff are trained in manual handling, epilepsy and medication administration. They have experience of working with Service Users over 65 and associated health and care needs.
Services Offered
Oaklodge offer 24 hour care, 7 days a week and the trained staff team help enable Service Users to meet their goals and wishes in a person-centred way. These can be such things as: family/ friend access, day centre activities, in-house activities, gardening, social outings, holidays, meals out and cinema/theatre.
Oaklodge's staff team provide support also for access to healthcare professionals as and when required. Oaklodge also has its own specially adapted vehicle.
About the Property
All individuals have their own personalised bedroom and share a communal kitchen/ diner and spacious lounge.
Both the bathroom and shower room are fully fitted wet rooms with adapted bathing and showering facilities to meet physical needs.
There is also a centralised laundry/ sluice room in the home and a medication cupboard. Service Users are also able to access and enjoy the fenced courtyard and wheelchair accessible spacious gardens.
