Cerrig Cornel is a supporting living community that provides 24 hours support for people with Learning disabilities and/or mental health problems, and has the added benefit of having a registered Domiciliary care Agency on the grounds which enables us to support tenants with medication and personal care.
We are based in Llanegryn, just four miles from the seaside town of Tywyn, and six miles from the popular tourist area of Aberdovey in North-West Wales.
Our aim and ethos is to enable people to develop a firm foundation which they can build their future, so that they can lead happy and fulfilling lives and enjoy positive relationships with their families, friends and the wider community.
Specialist Expertise
Cerrig Cornel is registered to provide services for adults over 18 in the following categories:-
- Older People
- Adults with physical disabilities
- Adults with sensory loss/impairment
- Adults with learning disabilities
- Adults with mental health problems
- Elderly mentally infirm (EMI)
We have an established service that offers exceptional care and support to all tenants and can provide both 24 hours shared support and one-to-one support for specific identified needs. Our holistic and person-centred approach takes into account all areas of individuals’ lives that are important to, and for, them.

About the Property
Cerrig cornel is a traditional 19th Century welsh farmstead that has been extended and converted to provide a range of separate households with the added twist of modern day interior.
Being all on one site allows tenants to develop their social skills and enjoy the benefits of mutual support. Also on site is a spacious building that provides community rooms, and the opportunity to develop day-care as and when this becomes a necessary factor in meeting the tenants defined needs.
Types of house we have on site are:
- One-bedded self contained cottage
- Three-bedded cottage, all rooms are en-suite and ground floor.
- One-bedded flat, specially adapted for physically disabled
- One-bedded self contained flat
- Five-bedded house.
- Four-bedded house, with one ground floor room specially adapted to suit a wheelchair user.
Current vacancies are:

- One-bedded self contained flat
- One vacancy in the five-bedded house.
