Specialism: Arrowe Hall is a beautiful stately home set in its own grounds within a large municipal park and golf course. The tenants here are adults with enduring Mental Health needs or Learning Difficulties, Asperger’s, Autism or ABI who would benefit from living in their own space with a bespoke care package to suit their needs. We are experienced in managing challenging behaviours.

Details of Vacancy: The main house has one first floor flat available. This is self contained, one bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. There are plans to site four detached bungalow style properties at the rear of the grounds to provide a high quality accommodation specification for more complex and challenging service users this summer. First will be ready in mid-July.

Age range: 17+

Current Profile of Service: Care packages are developed on an individual basis with levels of staffing based on need. There are accessible gardens with water feature and sitting area. This is an exceptional environment to live in.

Hours Provided: We can provide 1:1, sleep-ins and waking nights as required and 2:1 in the community can also be catered for.

Focus of Service: We provide individuals with appropriate support for their individual needs. We are outcome focused and encourage the development of life skills. We also work with people to integrate them within the wider community and liaise with family members regarding on going care and activities. We develop Person Centred Care Plans and complete regular reviews to ascertain progress and change. We employ an Activities Co-ordinator who offers a broad range of physical, social and education activities to all tenants of Arrowe Hall.

Arrowe Hall is in the Wirral, surrounding the building is a 300 acre park, which has a Golf Club and tennis courts. All tenants are supported within their own tenancy and have dedicated, trained staff teams who are built around them to their specific needs; tenants are encouraged to get involved in the recruitment of their staff teams by helping to interview.

Full needs and risk assessments completed by trained and experienced staff in liaison with the individual and anyone else they with to be involved such as family, friend, or advocate. Provision of an individuals’ person-centered support plan to include assistance in activities to maintain independence. Support to tenants with a range of activities including: Budget planning and finances, meal planning, shopping and household tasks. Establishing community links and promoting self advocacy and support in accessing to health services.

Mike Atkinson is the manager at Arrowe Hall. Mike has been working in Social Care for 22 years. He said “I began my career as a support worker, and then onto various roles in management over the years. I am proud of my achievements over the course of my career. I am passionate about shaping person centered support.”

Due to the complexity of the service, Arrowe Hall currently employs 78 support staff and is still growing! There is an exciting development of the building which is the building of 4 “My Homes” to the rear of the property. The support staff hold QCF level 2 and 3 diplomas in Health and Social care. With the extensive experience the support staff have, Arrowe Hall has the ability to effectively support some of the vulnerable in society. Each individual is individual and the training reflects this. Each support team is trained to meet the needs of the person that they support which includes ASD, ABI, Epilepsy, Dysphasia, Mental health and Schizophrenia awareness. This is on top of the mandatory training each staff member attends.

Regard has found a way to allow a 24-year-old wheelchair user in The Wirral to have his first supported living apartment, after six month’s negotiations with funding bodies, by agreeing to jointly fund a special hoist for him.



New lease of life for Arrowe Hall

Following a two-year refurbishment programme, the supported living community at Arrowe Hall in Wirral has been given a new lease of life by care provider Regard, according to its tenants.
