Age Range: 55 plus

Current Profile of Service: Chertsey can accommodate up to five people on two floors. Currently four other females live at Chertsey Road.

Hours Provided: There is a registered manager at the service and 24-hour support with waking night staff.

Focus of Service: The service has experience of working with adults who have complex needs and high levels of vulnerability, supporting and enabling them to become more independent in their every day life. The service is outcome focused working with individuals to achieve their goals in a way that is meaningful to them.

Chertsey Road is a large 5 bedroom 1920’s detached house situated on the A316. It compromises of a spacious lounge, refurbished kitchen, dining room, bathroom and one bedroom on the ground floor. A further 4 bedrooms and bathroom are situated on the first floor. Chertsey Road benefits from a large mature garden land seating patio areas. . It is within walking distance of local amenities and has easy access to public transport.

24 hour support including one awaking nigh staff and one sleep-in.
Promotion of independence and integration into the community.

Fully inclusive support planning, care needs and risk assessment by skilled and qualified staff experienced in working with adults with learning disabilities and with associated complex needs.

An outcome-focused approached with proven track record of supporting individuals to gain greater independence and skills including independent living skills, support with finances and social integration.

Energetic and Enthusiastic trained staff team.

Transport for the use of the people living at the service.

    Aliza Rahman is the Registered Manager for this service that currently supports an older group of service users with a learning disability. Aliza has worked in the social care sector for over 10 years and manages a team of support workers that enable the people living in the service to live a very active life of their choice.

    The staff have experience of working with adults who have complex needs and high levels of vulnerability, supporting and enabling them to become more independent in their every day life and promoting them to make decisions about their life. The team works in close partnership with a range of professionals.

    Award-winning support worker Hema Abeyatunge from Hounslow has been invited to address a major international conference of healthcare professionals on Growing Older with a Learning Disability.

    Hema Abeyatunge, who works at our residential service in Chertsey Road, won the ‘Supporting Older People with Learning Disabilities’ Lord Rix Award at the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards 2015.



    Regard and Hema reach the final of the National Learning Disability Awards

    We are delighted to announce that, after judging, we are through to the final in two categories at the National Learning Disability Awards. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on the 15th May. We will all be keeping our fingers crossed for Hema and Regard!
