Throughout my career I have worked with varying groups of people requiring different kinds of support, this has enabled me to gain a wide range of skills in lots of areas. I am currently Domcare Rochdale service manager and within this area we have two services, Canal View and Fairway.

The Team: The staff at both service would have a combined over 80 years of care sector experience, and many will have witnessed the development of social care. A poem about living at Fairway written by someone supported by the service.

“What can I say

About the amazing Fairway?

You’ll surely settle

When your room has a toaster, a fridge and a kettle

You can have a really good laugh

With the amazing Regard staff

You’ll meet new friends

Hope your friendship never ends

There’s no need to moan

You’re home

Here will never be a bore

You’re safe, you’re secure

Daily 1:1 time where you can get your worries off your chest

Then chill out and rest

And surely by now it must seem

This place is a dream”

‘Welcome to Regard’ tea parties are a great success
