Specialism: Learning disabilities, mental health issues and other concurrent complex needs.

Type of Service: Residential service located in Redruth. The town has all the facilities you would except from a medium sized commercial town including a cinema and a wide range of shops and restaurants and the town centre is in easy walking distance.

Age Range: 18 + property over 2 floors.

Hours Provided: There is a registered manager for the service and 24 hours a day shared support plus 1:1 specific support hours as required

Focus of Service: The bespoke support provided, centres on individual need and focuses on developing independence, person-centred life skills, communication, social skills and service users choice.

Situated on the outskirts of Redruth, Hillcrest is ideally located for the benefit of the people we support, their families and other multi-professionals. Hillcrest is a substantial two storey detatched home with a lovely landscaped garden situated on the outskirts of Redruth.

Redruth rail station is nearby with easy access to the A30 with Truro and Treliske hospital. Redruth has all the facilities you would except from a medium sized commercial town including a cinema and a wide range of shops and restaurants and the town centre is in easy walking distance from Acorn Park Lodge.

Carn Brae Leisure Centre is only a couple of miles from the service and provides for a range of sporting activities including a large swimming pool. Redruth has easy access to many of Cornwall’s fine beaches as well as being only 20 minutes by road, or 10 minutes by rail, fro m the cathedral city of Truro.

Full needs and risk assessments completed by trained and experienced staff in liaison with the individual and anyone else they wish to be involved such as family, friend, or advocate. We will support people with a range of activities including budget planning and support with finances, along with meal planning, preparation and shopping, household tasks, including laundry and housework. Planning social and leisure activities including college, voluntary work, establishing community links, promoting self advocacy or supporting access to advocacy services. We provide continuity and consistency of support by experienced support workers chosen with the individuals involvement.

Charlene Clarke is the Service Manager, she has worked in the care industry for seven years in both the elderly care sector as well as the care sector for Adults with Learning Disabilities. Charlene is dedicated to helping all our residents have full and rewarding lives.

Charlene is supported by a dedicated and highly experienced support team including 4 senior support staff and one senior intensive and complex needs professional. All our staff have a real passion for their job as well as great empathy with the people they care for.

There has been on-going training for all staff to ensure that the people they support receive the very best care that they deserve.

An important part of life at Clinton Lodge is ensuring that there are lots to do. We organise all sorts of activities and encourage the people we support to become active and valued participants whilst respecting individual’s choice and independence.

Activities we organise in house include:

• Painting and crafts workshops

• Music workshops

• Visits from external organisations and individuals to entertain and educate residents

Activities we organise away from the home include:

• Shopping

• Cinema and Theatre

• Restaurant and pub outings

• Beach trips

• Ten Pin bowling

• Swimming and other sports

• Holidays

All our activities are undertaken and supervised by experienced care workers when required to suit each individual’s goals, requirements, rights and independence.

Visitors are always welcome at the home and encouraged to participate in the activities, promoting the normal family values which make a pleasant place to live.

Golden chocolates help us to celebrate retaining Investors in People ‘gold’

Staff around The Regard Group have been celebrating achieving ‘Gold’ with golden chocolate and more than 30 winning tickets for ‘golden moments’.
