Manor Barn


Specialism: The service supports male adults with enduring Mental Health needs and/or Learning Difficulties, Asperger’s, Autism or ABI who would benefit from living in their own space with a bespoke care package to suit their needs, plus background support for more independent individuals in the main property. We are experienced in managing challenging behaviours and provide more complex individuals with their own team for consistency and development of quality relationships.

Age range: 17+

Current Profile of Service: Care packages are developed on an individual basis with a base level of shared support in the day for those in the en-suite bedrooms.

Hours Provided: There is 24-hour background staffing, including shared waking nights. Additional hours are based on assessed needs.

Focus of Service: We provide individuals with appropriate support for their individual needs. We are outcome focused and encourage the development of life skills. We also work with our service users to integrate them with-in the wider community and liaise with family members regarding ongoing care and activities.

Manor Barn is a newly developed property with 5 good-sized bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a self-contained first floor flat with its own front door and a ground floor, wheelchair accessible flat. There are a number of large communal areas and a spacious kitchen. Outside there are large grounds, including a seating area and a patio with buildings for bikes or outdoor equipment.

It is a supported living service just off the Chester High Road, providing great access to all surrounding towns including Chester, Wirral, and Liverpool. Neston has a range of facilities including shops, a post office, village hall, public houses, a church and a library.

We offer full needs and risk assessments completed by trained and experienced staff in liaison with the individual and anyone else they wish to be involved such as family, friend, or advocate. We provide person-centred support plans which include details of how we assist individuals to maintain their independence.

Support to tenants with a range of activities including: Budget planning and finances, meal planning, shopping and household tasks, establishing community links and promoting self-advocacy and support in accessing health services.

Angie Swale, the service manager has an NVQ Level 4 Management qualification and is working towards a level 5 Diploma.

Angela has over 15 years’ experience within the care sector, working with individuals with varying needs. She is able to lead and develop an excellent team and service.
