Current Profile of Service: The building has been designed to provide three separate living environments. Each unit is self-contained with its own bathrooms, en-suites, kitchen and lounge with sizeable gardens and extensive views over the Shropshire countryside situated in this rural setting close to the village of Bomere Heath, Merrington Grange is some ten minutes from Shrewsbury by road. In addition there is a sensory room in the grounds.

Focus of Service: Our aim is to support and educate individuals by enabling and empowering them to take greater control over their lives and to make their own decisions and choices. We support each individual to take advantage of opportunities available both at home and in the wider community, to maximise independence, to learn new or improve on existing skills, to achieve their goals and lead a life that is full and enjoyable, in the way most meaningful to them.

This is a complex of three inter-connecting separate living environments. Residential provision is provided on ground level for up to 3 residents, with bedrooms on the first floors for a further 6 residents across three distinct services.

In addition a one bedroom studio flat has been built within the complex. Each unit is self-contained with its own bathrooms, en-suites, kitchen and lounge with sizeable gardens and extensive views over the Shropshire countryside situated in this rural setting close to the village of Bomere Heath, Merrington Grange is some ten minutes from Shrewsbury by road.

We offer full needs and risk assessments completed by trained and experienced staff in liaison with the individual and anyone else they wish to be involved such as family, friend, or advocate. We provide person-centred support plans which include details of how we assist individuals to maintain their independence.

Support to individuals with a range of activities including: budget planning and finances, meal planning, shopping and household tasks, establishing community links and promoting self-advocacy and support in accessing health services.

Regard hosts open days to boost community integration

Open days are being hosted throughout England and Wales by The Regard Group with the aim of boosting community integration for people with learning disabilities, mental health and acquired brain injury.



Adelphi Care Services is to become part of The Regard Group

Shropshire care group Adelphi Care Services, which provides services to adults with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour, is to become part of The Regard Group. Nine specialist residential and supported living services will become part of Regard, which was formed in 1994, and now has a staff of over 2,200 operating at 150 sites around the country. The organisation currently supports more than 1,100 people, helping them to live their lives to the full and as independently as possible.
