Type of Service: Registered service provided in a chalet bungalow set back from a quiet residential street in Rayne, Essex.

Age Range: Adults 18 – 40 years old

Current Profile of Service: Peach Cottage is a two bed service alongside our Lynray service. Lynray is a large chalet bungalow which has 3 single bedrooms, each decorated to meet individual tastes, choices and sensory needs. Communal areas include a kitchen, dining room, living room and outside patio area, which can be used for recreational and leisure pursuits by all residents. In addition there is a bespoke one bed annex within Lynray.

We support individuals with complex needs and behavioural management plans and strategies.

Hours Provided: Registered manager, 24-hour staffing, specific 1:1 staffing as required and sleep-in staff.

Focus of Service: Using person-centred planning to support people to live the life they choose, make decisions, enhance their daily living and independence skills, understand their rights and responsibilities and access local communities for work, education and training and leisure opportunities.

Peach Cottage is a two bed service alongside our Lynray service. ​Lynray is a 3 bed service with the addition of a bespoke annex within the building. Based in the village of Rayne, Essex.

Rayne is a small village of about 2,300 residents in the Braintree district of Essex in the East of England.

All individuals are supported through person centered planning and reviews.

Budgeting skills and weekly planning

Daily living skills, including meal preparation, cooking and domestic skills

Assistance with personal care and encouragement to becoming more independent with self care

Choice and support to attend college/events/activities

Awareness of health promotion, health related conditions and specialist support to access professionals

Active participation in community events

Involvement in the recruitment and selection of the staff .

Involvement in our quality checkers project

Medication self assessment programme

Safety Awareness - participation in training and awareness workshops in relation to keeping safe, saying no to abuse, speaking out and recruitment

Stephanie Luckett is the Service Manager at both Peach Cottage and Lynray. She has 7 years experience in the Care Sector; 5 years of which have been in senior positions (Service Coordinator, Deputy Manager & Rota, Training and Payroll Manager).

Steph has a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care & Children and Young People’s Services.

The team supporting Steph have several years of service between them. A number have completed specialist training in areas such as Nutrition; Epilepsy Awareness& the administration of Buccal Midazolam; PEG Training; managing challenging behaviours; and British Sign Language and are able to apply this knowledge within the service.
