Arundel House, our residential service in Frinton–on-Sea recently held a picnic to raise money for YoungMinds, our chosen charity for the year.
YoungMinds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young adults. Any money we raise from our picnics and other events throughout the year will go to further the important work they do.
For the event, Service Manager Pat Ward arranged for a music therapist to attend which was great fun for all.
The afternoon saw the people we support, staff, family and friends all singing and dancing. Some of people got involved by playing instruments such as tambourines and bells. There was also lots of waving streamers and cheerleader pom poms as can be seen in the photographs.
Pat said: “Every relative was so complementary about the afternoon and they all said it was very successful. I would like to thank my staff for all their hard work in making it such a success.”
The event raised £50 for YoungMinds which was a great success for Arundel House.
Guy Page, Regard’s head of communications, said: “The ‘Big Picnic Fortnight’ is a great way for our staff teams, the people we support, friends and family to all get together and raise money for an amazing charity and to celebrate the work they do whilst also having fun.
