David, who is supported by our Livingstone Road Acquired Brain Injury service in Gillingham has recently been using his time to help others.

David really wanted to make a difference and wanted the opportunity to be able to interact with the community and do something for a good cause.

In the recent weeks leading up to Christmas, David has been volunteering his time and services at a local food bank called ‘Christmas Food Drive’, which is an initiative carried out in two local stores, near to the service. David had been wanting to volunteer at the bank for months and, when the opportunity to get involved arose, he jumped at the chance.

David was supported by Support Worker Borna Banjedvorec and the whole Livingstone Road team to fulfil his dream of helping others within the community.

When he was working, David stood at the front of the store and approached people to give donations of food items or money for the bank.

Service Manager, Charlotte said “David really enjoyed this as he was at the front line, interacting with people, and was happy he persuaded people to donate.”

David said “I would do it every day if I could”.
