Last week two of our residential services, Faerdre and Garthowen in Ceredigion, Wales teamed up together to throw a purple party as part of a Regard-wide fundraising event for Epilepsy action.
They all dressed in their finest purple clothes, had purple cakes and other tasty party food!
The service was decorated by the people living there with purple banners and balloons. There was a raffle where everyone was a winner, a lucky dip and a guess how many sweets are in the jar. The jar had 198 sweets and Anthony was closest with a guess of 190, he was very pleased to win, as can be seen in the photographs.
Bev, who is supported by Garthowen, said she really enjoyed the day and “I won two prizes on the raffle. It was my purple hat, I said it was lucky! Perfume for me and something for my daughter.”
The day was finished off with a disco and a glass of bucks fizz to celebrate the success of the day. The two services raised £27.50 between them.
