On 22nd March, the OWL Project and Cerrig Camu held a purple themed tea party as part of a Regard-wide fund raising event in aid of Epilepsy Action. Epilepsy affects around one in every 100 people in the UK and 87 people are diagnosed with the condition every day.
Everyone who attended enjoyed a variety of treats, ranging from blackcurrant and liquorice sweets to fruit flavoured tea. Activities on the day included a purple cake sale, guess the purple jelly bean sweepstake and glitter tattoos.
Ann Mitchinson, who is supported by the OWL project, said “I had a great time and really enjoyed the tea party. My favourite part of the day was getting a lovely crab glitter tattoo”.
Several of the people we support helped to organise and plan the event and also contributed by making decorations and baking lots of cakes! Collectively the tea party raised £50.00.
