Service Manager – Huntingdon

We require a strong and motivated individual to work within our Huntingdon service for people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The successful candidate will:

Qualifications: You must have NVQ level 4, Registered Managers Award, or a recognized social work qualification. Experience in a management or supervisory role is essential, with practical experience of supporting adults with a learning disability within a community or residential setting. Car driver is essential.

Regard for Learning Education Centre (RLEC)

Head of School

RLEC is a small co-educational special school for students aged 9 to 19 yrs. with complex needs (MLD, ASD. BESD).  All students have statements of SEN and attend the school from either local Regard Care Homes or are placed by Local Authorities.

 

This is a new post in the school to further develop the provision and expand on the work of the school to date. Regard is committed to providing quality care and education for some very challenging students. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner who would relish the challenge of leading a small staff team in providing outstanding educational experiences for some very challenging young people.

 

It is important that candidates have good experience across Key Stages 3 to 5 in a special school as the development of Post 16 Education is currently a key area for the school. Full details of the post and person specification are provided in application pack.

Zero Hour Domcilliary Support Worker

Support Worker required at a supported living accommodation for adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs.  Candidates will be required to support individuals in their home environment as well as in the local community.  Candidates will be providing 1:1 support and may be required to complete personal care. Duties will include supporting individuals towards independence in all areas of their lives – including personal and domestic skills, social and educational inclusion.  Some domestic tasks will be required. The service is staffed 24 hours a day; sleep in shifts will be required. Previous experience and training an advantage, but training will be provided.  Candidates must be willing to undertake all statutory training.

Support Worker (Full Time) working with children with learning disabilities and / or behaviour difficulties.  Candidates will be required to work as a member of a staff team to provide young people in the residential setting with the necessary support, care and guidance.  To act as a positive role model in a professional parenting capacity.   A full clean driving licence is an essential requirement for this position.  A NVQ qualification is desirable, but training will be provided.  This position is subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure.

Residential Support Worker - Sudbury

Support Workers - Zero Hours (may include sleep-ins) required in a residential home in Sudbury, Suffolk, supporting Service Users with mild/moderate Learning Disabilities in all areas of their daily lives, including personal care, accessing local colleges and day centres, trips out including cinema, meals out, swimming, pubs etc.
