Deputy Manager – Cranborne

 

Deputy Manager required at Tregonwell Lodge, a 17 bedded residential service for people with learning difficulties and mental health condition in Cranborne, Dorset. Duties will include assisting the manager in the day-to-day running of the home, supervision and appraisals of staff, organisation and delivery of care, liaising with internal and external parties, ensuring that all regulatory and quality standards are met, taking charge of the service in the absence of the manager and to share the on-call rota with the local management team on a rota basis. Hours are 37.5 per week, Mon – Fri, some shift working may be required, according to the needs of the service. Applicants will preferably hold an NVQ 3 or be working towards this qualification. You will need to have people management skills, good communication skills, the ability to perform under pressure and experience of working with PCP. IT skills are also required to be successful in this position.

Grenville House - Plymouth - Devon

 

Waking Night Support Workers & Zero Hours Support Workers wanted at Victoria and Grenville House - spacious Victorian terraced buildings registered for adults with Learning Disabilities. Staff provide 24hr personal care and support to Service Users. Present Service Users all have medium to high dependency needs and several Service Users have limited verbal communication.

 

The positions require the staff member to assist and become a member of the care team, to be responsible for the general well-being of Service Users and maintaining a high standard of care. To provide a quality service to Service Users and anyone associated with their care. To promote independence and opportunities to learn new skills. To read and carry out requirements of Individualised Care Plans. To comply with legal requirements of training needs. Personal care is an integral part of the service; staff must be able to carry out this task.

 

Must be flexible and reliable. Shifts include night wake duties and must be willing to work evenings and weekends as per rota. Waking Night – 12hr shifts = 730pm – 730am. Bank – hours as and when required.

 

Minimum qualification NVQ2 or be willing to work towards award. Candidates must have patience and good sense of humour necessary. Driver – desirable.
