Staff and services around The Regard Group are celebrating 25 years since Regard opened the doors to it’s first service, with a range of tea parties for the people we support.
From small beginnings in 1994, when we supported three people at Berkeley house, we have grown to become the third largest provider in our sector - currently supporting more than 1300 individuals in 168 services across England and Wales.
The latest issue of the Regard newsletter celebrates the last 25 years during which our teams have achieved some extraordinary outcomes for people with complex needs, enabling so many of them to lead their lives with greater levels of independence and inclusion
Our number of CQC-rated ‘Outstanding’ services has increased four-fold, and our industry-leading quality ratings demonstrate our commitment to quality and to ‘action with integrity’. Recently retaining our Investors in People ‘Gold’ accreditation gave us independent recognition of the management and investment in our people and of the empowerment felt by our staff.

Long-serving members of Regard staff also commented on their experiences. Karen Thomas, a support worker from our Cornerleigh service, has worked with Regard for over 20 years. She said, “Many of the individuals we support have lived at my service for decades – and I’ve grown with them. We’ve developed a special, trusting bond, which makes this such a lovely, enjoyable place to work. Staff are so friendly, caring and supportive - we work well as a team!”
Karl Farragher, Commercial Director of The Regard Group, added “It’s been an absolute privilege for me to have been part of Regard’s tremendous team for the past 25 years, and to have worked with and supported so many amazing individuals. It always has been, and always will be ‘About People.’”
Cerrig Camu and The OWL Project
The OWL Project and Cerrig Camu recently held a wonderful birthday tea party to celebrate 25 years of Regard. The people we support and staff enjoyed a selection of delicious cakes, drinks, and also played board games to toast the success. The party was enjoyed by all!
