Our Wrottesley Road has a vacancy for one individual to live independently with support. The service in Harlesden, would be suitable for people who might be looking to transfer from a residential placement or moving on from the family home on their first step to independence who wish to share with others.
Wrottesley Road caters for up to six individuals and has a ground floor room available after the former occupant moved on to a new home.
Service manager Paul Emile said: “This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking to strike out on their own and to have more independence with 24-hour support there if they need it.
“We actively encourage community participation and involvement, and we work with the people who live here to identify their personal goals and aspirations and keep our service users safe and happy.”
The property has a garden, a shared kitchen, large lounge-diner and is located in a quiet residential area in the heart of Harlesden close to local shops, leisure facilities and to good transport links.
Support is provided to promote the individual’s budgeting skills and weekly planning, daily living skills – including meal preparation, cooking and domestic skills – assistance with personal care and support to attend college or to get involved with events and activities of their choice.
Added Paul: “We support our service users in a way that gives them confidence, encouraging them to make decisions, and ensuring they’re aware of their rights and responsibilities.”
In the course of his work, Paul and his team regularly liaise with multiple agencies –sometimes involving a large number of external health professionals – to ensure tailored packages of support are designed, planned and executed to provide the best possible holistic care for every individual they support.
Wrottesley Road was rated Green at its last inspection by the Regard Internal Audit Compliance, and Regard has recently attained the Investors in People Gold Standard, one of only four organisations out of over 17,000 in the sector to achieve the standard.
