Lllwyngwian Fawr is a detached farm house situated amongst six acres of hillside above the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy in Gwynedd. It boasts panoramic views of Cardigan Bay and the surrounding mountains. Llwyngwian Fawr is a Residential Service for 4 adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health needs and associated challenging behaviours. We are able to provide daycare facilities on site to include animal care, gardening and woodwork projects. We provide 24 hour support including a waking night staff. We are registered to support adults and the current ages are between 34 and 52.
What we offer
Support from an experienced staff team to assess and develop with the individual a bespoke care package to suit their needs. This will include support with budgeting, personal care, promoting independence in the home and in the community. We encourage social inclusion to those who live at Llwyngwian to become valued members of their community enabling them to participate in educational and social activities. We offer continuity and consistency of support focusing on positive outcomes, which are reviewed regularly and also monitored by an internal quality audit team.
Meet the team
The Service Manager, Karen Hills, has 23 years experience working with people with learning disabilities and /or mental health needs, 13 of those years as a manager at Llwyngwian. She has gained a RMA and regularly updates her management training. There is an established experienced staff team which is of mixed male and female and a range of different ages. The SSW has L5 QCF. In addition to the mandatory training the whole staff team complete service specific training as and when needed e.g. Autism, Mental Health, Schizophrenia,Epilepsy.
