The service is able to support individuals from the age of 17 as part of a transitional model of support we promote at Regard. In each case we would work closely with all parties to ensure an agreed approach is put in place to help an individual make that transition in to adulthood a positive one.

Specialism: The service is able to provide support for individuals who have learning disability and/or mental health needs who may present with additional challenging behaviour, Acquired Brain Injuries and complex needs. One area of specialism is supporting individuals with autism.

Type of Service: Specialist residential.

Details of Vacancy: The service currently has 6 vacancies.

Age Range: 18+

Current Profile of Service: In addition to the large rooms we have extensive grounds which individuals can access safely. We also have our Outcomes With Learning (OWL) service in the grounds which is an outcome-based resource service that individuals would be able to access as part of an agreed package of support.

Hours Provided: Staff are on site throughout the day and night and packages of support are based on an agreed assessment with clear outcomes identified.

Focus of service: The service is outcome-focused. This is achieved by listening and responding to what individuals tells us is important to them, work with them to achieve their goals and aspirations in a way that keeps the person safe, but also maintains and develops a life which makes sense to them. The focus in all areas of the service is to support people along a pathway to greater independence.

Success Stories

Cerrig Camu is a beautiful country estate just outside the historic market town of Dolgellau. It comprises a large main building which has three floors, while the ground floor has recently been completely re-developed to become a distinct four bed service in its own right; In addition to the fourteen beds across the main house, there are three further cottages with their own staff teams and service user demographic. Cerrig Camu benefits from having a resource centre on site giving individuals the opportunity to develop independent living skills.

We support people with complex needs to achieve their full potential by utilising the person-centred, active support model of care. This enables individuals to become more independent and to learn new life skills whilst being supported every step of the way and ensuring that they progress and grow at a speed appropriate to the individual.

The service is staffed 24 hours every day and indivinduals benefit from bespoke support plans, Activity planners and a monthly reviewing system are second to none in the social care industry. Individual’s wishes are at the forefront of every element of our support and our ability to empower individuals to achieve their full potential can be evidenced to commissioners and care co-ordinators alike.
