The service is able to support individuals from the age of 17 as part of a transitional model of support we promote at Regard. In each case we would work closely with all parties to ensure an agreed approach is put in place to help an individual make that transition in to adulthood a positive one.
Specialism: The service is able to provide support for individuals who have learning disability and/or mental health needs who may present with additional challenging behaviour, Acquired Brain Injuries and complex needs. One area of specialism is supporting individuals with autism. The service is supported by our Positive Behavioural Support team.
Type of Service: Specialist residential.
Details of Vacancy: One first floor, en-suite room avaliable.
Age Range: 18+
Current Profile of Service: In addition to the large rooms we have extensive grounds which individuals can access safely. We also have our Outcomes With Learning (OWL) service in the grounds which is an outcome-based resource service that individuals would be able to access as part of an agreed package of support.
Hours Provided: Staff are on site throughout the day and night and packages of support are based on an agreed assessment with clear outcomes identified.
Focus of service: The service is outcome-focused. This is achieved by listening and responding to what individuals tells us is important to them, work with them to achieve their goals and aspirations in a way that keeps the person safe, but also maintains and develops a life which makes sense to them. The focus in all areas of the service is to support people along a pathway to greater independence.
