The staff and people we support at Coneyhurst Lodge, our residential service in Worthing, held a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan. They invited neighbours, parents and friends from other Regard services, some guests came from Cloverdale and Maldon House.

The coffee morning included tea, home-made cakes, a raffle and an entertainer with all of the proceeds going to the Macmillan charity. It was a lovely sunny day and all who attended had a great time getting involved. Some of the people who live at Coneyhurst had their own stalls where they sold cakes and drinks and they even helped out with the raffle at the end of the day.

Before the event they set themselves a target of £200 and they exceeded this and made £215 and some loose change, something everyone was very happy with. The day had a wonderful atmosphere, there was lots of singing, dancing and laughing. This was also tied in as an introduction for some new residents which was fun for everyone involved.

James, who lives at Coneyhurst Lodge, got involved by dropping leaflets off to neighbours ahead of the event and Andrew and Chris helped by having stalls.

Overall it was a successful and enjoyable day for everyone.
