• We held our garden open day on June 11th. We had a really good turn out and the weather was perfect. TFW attendees, their friends and family as well as others from our local community all enjoyed cream teas and soaking up the atmosphere in the blooming garden. We made beautiful bugs out of plastic cutlery with Peter Rush.

• On Monday 16th we hosted our first Lunch Club at the workshops. Earlier in the year we furthered our links with Yewstock School ( a specialist school for 7-19 year olds with disabilities). 5 members of TFW enjoyed a look around the school then a lunch prepared by the students. We gave the students from Yewstock a pottery taster then served them a ploughman’s lunch made with salads and chutneys from the market garden as well as homemade bread and scones, a good time was had by all and we have booked our next club for September.

We have just returned from Larmer Tree Music Festival which ran from Wednesday 16th – 20th July. We had an amazing year – 9 members of TFW were able to attend the festival, each doing a shift on our stall in the Artists Quarter with some time off to enjoy all the sights, sounds and flavours on offer. Sales went extremely well –a big well done to everyone who manned the stall as we made over £340 which is the best total to date for Larmer Tree.
