One of Danny’s favourite pop groups is STEPS - he has always wanted to see them perform, but hadn’t been able to, as they had disbanded. However, Danny was delighted when he recently heard “the best news ever!” - that STEPS had reformed and announced a tour. He immediately asked if he could see them live.

Kellie, service manager, said “Danny initially had fears around planning this trip; it was going to be tricky to organise, but with the ‘can-do’ positive attitude of the team at Eastbourne road, and the eagle eyes of Danny’s mum, tickets were found to go to the concert at Kew Gardens - which not only had STEPS performing, but a ‘Bjorn Again Abba’ tribute act, as well as the winner of X Factor. With so many boxes ticked, Danny had to say yes!”

Danny invited Amanda from Eastbourne Road to join him, and when the day of the concert arrived, they set off together with tickets for a long day out. This included a trip to London, and visiting Kew Gardens - where they saw the tropical houses filled with beautiful exotic plants. Afterwards, they enjoyed a fun-filled musical evening with songs that Danny loves.

Throughout the day, Danny and Amanda were supported by the Eastbourne Road team, who ensured that everything ran smoothly and all their needs were attended to.

Kellie said “It was a great day out, with lots of dancing and singing, and a day that Danny and Amanda will remember for a long time!”
