This August our services all over the country have been taking part in Regard’s ‘Big Picnic Fortnight’ to help raise money and awareness for our chosen charity of the year, YoungMinds. YoungMinds is a charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young adults.

Caeronnen, our supported living service in Ceredigion, joined in the fun by hosting a sports day themed picnic and raised money to add to our pot of over £3,000 already raised from all our picnics across Regard.

They invited friends, family, staff, the people we support and neighbouring Regard services, Garthowen and Faerdre, to join in on all the fun and activities.

In addition to their sports day they also held a karaoke competition to see who had the best voice. This was one of the most popular activities with a lot of fun and laughter, enjoyed by everyone.

Katie, who leads the team at Caronnen, said: “Caeronnen’s Big Picnic was a great success and was held on a lovely sunny day. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the spread and lots of cake was consumed. We all wore a YoungMinds sticker to show our support for the charity.”

A truly great day was had by all and they are looking forward to their next big event.
