This month, our Vancouver service joined together with neighbouring Regard service Carew Road to host a charity afternoon tea party.

Service Manager of Vancouver, Ernestine knows the Carew Road service very well, so she made the most of the opportunity to bring the people the two services support together for the party to get to know one another and make friends.

Senior Support Worker Violtsa organised the event, her and the team put on a great spread, there were lots of sandwiches and delicious pastries to enjoy and a wide selection of drinks to choose from.

The people supported invited their friends and family along for the event.

Vanessa, who lives at the service said “I enjoyed it very much, especially the delicious food.”

A family member of someone supported by the Vancouver team said “The tea party was very nice and I was impressed that we raised money to support a charity”.

A great total of £60 which was raised for Shelter.

Kitty O’Shea, Corporate Partner at Shelter said “Shelter are incredibly grateful to have the support of The Regard Group this year. The fundraising truly does help make an amazing difference to families struggling with bad housing and homelessness.”
