Last week, Wild Science, an external zoo company came into Cornerleigh, our residential service in Havant. Debbie Mallett, Service Manager arranged for Katie from Wild Science to come in to give a talk.

There was a wide range of animals that the company brought in for everyone to cuddle and learn all about, including a mixture of cute fluffy animals and slimy reptiles. Some of the people supported by the team at Cornerleigh were even brave enough to hold a snake for a few seconds.

The talk given by Katie was very informative and everyone, including staff and people living at the service thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon learning all about the animals.

Everyone is looking forward to next time they can invite some fluffy friends into their home.

Debbie said: “It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, engaging and interacting with the animals and Katie.”

Gary, who is supported by the service said: “It was very good, I liked the rabbit and guinea pigs the best. I can’t wait for them to come again soon.”
